Having a sustainable wardrobe has to become a way of life. You have to teach your self to be strict with what you purchase and make life long investments. Where spending money on new clothes can be fun and exciting it all comes with a long line of destruction. From the planet to your bank account.
Having a sustainable life doesn't have to stop at your wardrobe, it matters with other products you invest in to. These could be life long decisions that stay in the family for generations.
I have taken the challenge of buying nothing new, 2nd hand or charity for 31 days. I want to see the effects I have on my life when I sporadically spend and make thoughtless decisions. I want to take the time to learn about myself and see what sort of print I have on the world personally.
From doing this I hope to teach others about my journey and how clothes are versatile and can be taken from season to season.Currently the weather is still quite warm and I am getting use out of some of my summer clothes. I can't wait to see the change in temperature as the year gets closer to November.
This is going to be a challenge for me because I love to shop. The outcome will be worth it in the long run.
